CRSA SERIES SET TO RETURN TO I-88 SPEEDWAY ON FRIDAY
Oneonta, New York…The CRSA Sprint Tour is heading to Jamie and Denise Page's I-88 Speedway in Afton, New York Friday for another night of exciting sprint car racing. The event will mark the fifth race on the CRSA Tour. It will also be the first race of the four event "Algonkin Motel Challenge.” This mini-series consists of all the races that are held at the I-88 Speedway in Afton,NY. The Algonkin Motel, owned by Denise and Jamie Page, is located in nearby Bainbridge and is the official motel of the I-88 Speedway.
The first four races of the CRSA Series have provided four different winners. Jordan Thomas won the season opener at the Fonda Speedway. The series then moved to the Orange County Fair Speedway with Cory Sparks winning over Jeremy Quick and Scott Goodrich. In the tour’s third outing at the tight Penn Can Speedway, Scott Goodrich was the first sprint across the line. In a rare midweek event at the Fonda Speedway Josh Pieniazek of Schenectady, New York won for the first time in 2015.
After four races in the books, the point standings are very close and look to be an exciting year long battle. Cory Sparks and Scott Goodrich are separated by only two points. Third though six are held by Mike Kiser, Kyle Smith, Dalton Herrick , and Josh Pieniazek and they are separated by only thirteen points.
When racing returns to I-88 Speedway on Friday another great field of sprint cars is expected. Heat races and another exciting twenty lap feature are on the schedule. Gates and Concessions open at 5:00, Hot Laps at 6:15 pm, racing at 7:00 pm.
