GOODRICH HOLDS OFF KISER IN CRSA EVENT AT FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY
Kirkwood, NY…The CRSA Sprint Tour made its first visit to the quarter mile Five Mile Point oval Saturday night. A fine field of sprinters signed in for their third race of the E&H Services/Esposito Lawn and Garden “Southern Tier Challenge” mini-series. Series point leader Scott Goodrich of Middletown, New York continued his hot streak winning his third CRSA Series feature of the season.

Dana Wagner and Warren Alexson brought the twenty three car starting field to the green flag. Wagner jumped to the top spot and took command early. Mike Kiser moved to the second position with Goodrich moving into third on the fourth lap followed closely by J.R Hurlburt, and Corey Sparks. With ten laps in the books Wagner got into lapped traffic with Goodrich challenging and making the pass for the top spot going down the backstretch.

The second caution of the race came on lap sixteen for a spinning car. Goodrich would lead Wagner, Kiser, Hurlburt, and Sparks. When racing resumed Kiser moved to second to pressure Goodrich. After a few quick cautions the battle continued. Chad Miller and Thomas Radivoy continued to move forward into contention. The last caution of the race came out on lap twenty setting up a five lap dash. Kiser kept the pressure on Goodrich but came up short at the checkered flag. Kyle Smith, John Matrafailo, and Chad Miller rounded out the top five.

SPRINT NOTES: Warren Alexson, Mike Kiser, and Cory Sparks were heat race winners. John Matrafailo was the hard charger increasing the starting position by eleven spots. Radivoy was racing a new Panther Chassis and like the results with a fine sixth place finish. The CRSA Tour continues Friday with their first appearance of the season at the Albany Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York.

CRSA SPRINT CAR OFFICIAL FEATURE FINISH (25 Laps): SCOTT GOODRICH, Mike Kiser, Kyle Smith, John Matrafailo, Chad Miller, Thomas Radivoy, Josh Pieniazek, Brody Adamsky, Dalton Herrick, Dustin Purdy, Dan Hennessy, Warren Alexson, Brett Jaycox, Dana Wagner, David French, Brian Krummel, J.R. Hulburt, Cory Sparks, Emily VanInwegen, Josh Flint, Ed Kelly, Mark Sasso, Doug Crews.
