(Sodus, NY) | The format for the upcoming Hard Clay Challenge event will have all drivers draw for group position. Drivers will then time within their group to set heat lineups. The top four (4) fast times in each group will be inverted for heat starts. In a 3 heat format the top six (6), 4 heat format top five (5) from each heat will automatically be locked into the A-Main with the top two (2) finishers going to the redraw. It will be heads up from heat finishes for either 18 or 20 depending on car counts and heats. The balance of the field will be set with B-Main transfers for the 22-car A-Main. Two (2) provisional spots will be available to tour regulars who are in the top 20 in points and that have not qualified for the A-Main.

The fastest timer in each group will receive a $50 bonus, with the fastest overall timer receiving a $100 bonus courtesy of Mike Emhof Motorsports, Inc.

Jeff Trombley heads into the final race of the season with a slim 19-point advantage over second place, hometown runner Thomas Radivoy, who has three wins with the CRSA Sprints this season, two of them coming at Orange County. Another hometown favorite, Christian Rumsey, sits third in points and trails Trombley by 52 points. Rumsey picked up his first sprint car win earlier in the season at Orange County Fair Speedway. Sitting 4th is 2016 Rookie of the Year Sydney Prince who is just 82 points out of first. Prince had a runner up finish in the June race at Orange County Fair Speedway. Who knows where it will all shake out? Many top runners are expected to be in competition this coming Saturday. Kyle Smith, Dana Wagner, Tyler Jashembowski, Emily & Billy VanInwegen, Jerry Sehn, Tyler Boniface, Bobby Hackel and Josh Pieniazek to list a few.
