Albany, NY – The SuperGen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA Sprint Car Series roars back into action this weekend with back to back shows in the Capital District of New York. On Friday evening September 14th the series heads to the Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta for round number 13 and the next night, the series moves to the Fonda Speedway in Fonda for round number 14. This will be the second visit by the CRSA to both tracks in 2018.

It was back on July 13th that the CRSA made their first visit to the Great Race Place. Picking up the win was former series champion Matt Tanner. Tanner, behind the wheel of Mike VanDusen’s number 56 claimed the win over Jeff Trombley, Justin Mills, Darryl Ruggles and Tyler Cartier.

The series headed to the Fonda Speedway on June 30th with defending CRSA champion Trombley picking up the win. His win came over Thomas Radivoy, Sydney Prince, Dustin Purdy and Jerry Sehn, Jr.

Each event will be part of the Kennedy’s of Troy Northway 90 Challenge. This mini-series within the overall CRSA series has Trombley leading the point standings over Sehn (-19), Radivoy (-22), Emily VanInwegen (-22) and Mills (-27).

In the overall standings Trombley holds a 35-point lead over Radivoy. Tyler Jashembowski sits third with VanInwegen and Mills rounding out the top five.

The Maguire Family of Dealerships and Mike Emhof Motorsports have teamed up to enhance the purse for both events. All CRSA Sprint Car Series racers and any 305 Sprint Car that is RaceSaver sealed and documented are eligible to compete.

Each A-Main winner will receive $1,000 with second place earning $500. Each event will also pay $160 to start. Positions second through sixth have also been increased. Each event is a regular point paying event for the overall CRSA championship and will also count towards the Kennedy’s Towing Northway 90 Challenge.
