Sodus, NY (7/27/19) – Please see below for the results from an engine protest at the Land of Legends Raceway.
INFORMATION BULLETIN: On Wednesday July 24th, 2019 an engine protest was lodged against Darryl Ruggles by a group of 305 racers at the Land of Legends Raceway for "Piston Regulations". The seals were checked at the time of protest and documented. On Thursday July 25th, 2019 the engine was inspected and measured by Sr. Tech Director Mike Vandusen for proper dome, piston to deck position, as well as Bore and Stroke. The paperwork from Rob Noacker's original tech was provided and verified. The engine has been deemed legal. Everything matched right to the numbers on the heads from original tech by Rob Noacker. Everything was found completely within specification bore 3.78 stroke 3.48 for a 312 cubic inch. Mike Emhof will compile all the photos and data into a report to file. This report will be available for review by any CRSA carded member. Persons in attendance for the inspection were Mike Mastin, Darryl and Wendy Ruggles, Mike Vandusen and Mike Emhof.
