Race Report by Steven Ovens – June 20th, 2021 – JB Photography photo –

(WEST HAVEN, VT) – Devil’s Bowl Speedway officials have postponed Saturday’s massive holiday fireworks and “Independence Day Sprint Car Spectacular” racing event to Sunday, July 4 at 6:00 p.m. A rainy forecast at race time on Saturday evening forced the change.

The jam-packed program will run as planned in its entirety on Sunday. The Sprint Cars of New England and CRSA Sprint Cars tours will square off head-to-head for the first time ever on Sunday night, with upwards of 30 cars expected. Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s headline weekly division, the Sportsman Modifieds, will run a 50-lap main event and the wild-and-crazy Enduro Series will also have a 50-lapper, and the track’s four weekly support divisions will also be on the card. A huge fireworks display will take place at approximately 9:30 p.m.

“Our best chance for a great racetrack surface and overall fan experience will be on Sunday night, without having to worry about an uncertain weather pattern at race time,” Devil’s Bowl Speedway promoter Mike Bruno said. “We have Sprint Car teams traveling from five or six hours away, and we want to make sure that they have a good experience as well. We’re going to have a great time on Sunday night, and it will be worth the 24-hour wait.”
