CRSA Statement on Protest

A protest was lodged against the No. 80 of Bobby Parrow post-race from last night's CRSA-sanctioned weekly 305 event at Land of Legends Raceway.

The protest was presented to CRSA Director Mike Emhof post-A-Main utilizing the proper presentation methods outlined in the 2024 CRSA Rulebook and the RaceSaver National Engine Rule Guidelines. It outlined the legality of the crankshaft installed in the No. 80's engine.

Parrow was notified by CRSA Director Mike Emhof and CRSA Engine Sealing Tech Director Rob Noacker within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the A-Main.

Mr. Parrow's car was impounded and locked into a building for the night. At 9 a.m., Emhof and Noacker met the Parrow team at Land of Legends Raceway, loaded the car into a trailer to be transported and teched at the team's shop and observed the entire process of the technical inspections. Parrow's team cleaned the racecar and removed the engine, placing it on a stand for tech inspection.

Mr. Noacker inspected all four RaceSaver seals and determined they had not been tampered with and were in place, as the tech sheet indicated from the original sealing process. The oil pan was removed and the crankshaft was inspected for proper material, weight and size. All items were found to be in the specification and as noted on the original technical inspection sheet. Other items checked included connecting rods, valve springs and rocker arms; no infractions were found.

We thank Mr. Parrow and his team for working with CRSA throughout this process. The protest money was distributed to Mr. Parrow and Mr. Noacker per the outlined information in the CRSA rulebook. Land of Legends Raceway Promoter Paul Cole was informed of the findings. He will make Mr. Parrow's A-Main points and purse money available.
