Paddock Crowned Joe's Garage Southern Tier Series Champion

Press Release By: Marty Czekala – September 10, 2025 – Photo By: Erika Bye

As the A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprints were not able to make up both races at Penn Can Speedway (June 6 and July 11) due to weather, Dillon Paddock has been named Joe’s Garage Southern Tier Series champion.

It is the first miniseries championship for "The Show Stopper," as he posted a pair of thirds at Thunder Mountain this miniseason, the only track that was able to hold races without weather impacting.

“Thunder Mountain was definitely a turnaround for us this year,” said Paddock. “Consistency is the name of the game this year for us. Not usually something of my nature, but just happened to work out that way this year.”

Overall, Paddock has racked up 12 podiums in 15 features, including the two at Thunder Mountain.

The pair of podiums for Paddock in the Joe’s Garage Southern Tier Series was good enough to beat Billy VanInwegen by four points, Johnny Smith by seven points, Jordan Hutton by 11 points and Zach Sobotka by 15.

“Winning anything nowadays is tough, so just to win a miniseries is cool, all in all and hopefully we can win a couple more races before the year’s out,” Paddock said.

Paddock had only run one career race at Thunder Mountain and Penn Can each going in, finishing seventh and 14th, respectively.

Joe’s Garage is the official sponsor of the Southern Tier Series. Known as a one-stop shop for automotive maintenance, Joe’s also provides 23.5-hour towing and roadside assistance to keep drivers on the move whenever issues arise. Conveniently located at the corner of Robinson and Bradywine in Binghamton, Joe’s is committed to serving the community both on and off the road. For assistance, customers can call their 24/7 hotline at (607) 723-3520.

Joe’s Garage activated their sponsorship further by bringing a flatbed of their own to Thunder Mountain in July and also towed Scott Landers’ No. 33 car to the Syracuse Motorsports Expo last Spring.

2025 has been a career year for Paddock, as he has piloted his No. 8 to four wins so far in 2025, including the series’ most recent stop at Ransomville, sweeping the two stops at “The Big R.” Paddock has also scored wins at Albany-Saratoga and Woodhull, a track CRSA heads to this weekend for the New York 305 Nationals.

In the overall standings, Paddocks trails 29 points to Zach Sobotka for the overall title with one whole points-paying race left to go in a few weeks at Weedsport.

“He’s tough to beat, but we’re right there,” said Paddock. “We can’t hang our heads. I have to thank my entire team, all my sponsors, crew and family. There’s a lot that goes into this.”

The CRSA Sprints are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2025 and are brought to you by A-Verdi Storage Containers.
